The delivery of a 690 koala habitat planting project is part of the compensatory environmental management works mandated under the Toowoomba Regional Planning Scheme 2012 for ecological restoration.
The project includes:
- Site preparation and establishment works (completed early 2025)
- Planting and establishment works (completed March 2025)
- Watering (March to July 2025)
- Weed management and maintenance (2025 - 2029)

Delivery of site rehabilitation works in accordance with State (SARA) referral agency condition requirements, focusing on ecological restoration and environmental management, including:
- Site establishment and mulch shifting/spreading (approx. 900m3)
- Planting and establishment of 2400 trees, shrubs, and groundcovers to enhance koala habitat planting
- Watering
- Maintenance program

Delivery of site rehabilitation works in accordance with contract and MRTS16 requirements to support ecological restoration and effective environmental management:
- Supply and installation of organic blanket mix
- Supply and installation of hydromulch mixes
- Supply and planting of 3300 native trees, shrubs, and groundcovers to enhance koala habitat planting
- Installation of jute mesh products
- Watering
- Maintenance works

Delivering the following services to support ecological restoration and effective environmental management:
- Site vegetation clearing demarcation
- Environmental weed treatment
- Planting and revegetation works, including koala habitat planting
- Follow up watering
All works are completed in accordance with the Toowoomba Regional Council approved Rehabilitation Plan.

Working in partnership with the project proponent, AERS is providing essential services for ecological restoration and environmental management, including:
- Technical support for koala habitat planting
- Intensive establishment weed treatment works
- A comprehensive 12-month weed treatment program
- Ongoing works monitoring and certification
All works are completed in accordance with the Lockyer Valley Regional Council approved Rehabilitation Plan.

In collaboration with the project proponent, AERS delivered essential services for ecological restoration, which included:
- Technical support for planting works aimed at enhancing koala habitat planting
- Initial spot treatment of planting locations to promote effective environmental management
- Supply of tubestock
- Provision of planting materials such as tree guards, stakes, water crystals, and pins.
All tasks were completed in accordance with the State Government approved Environmental Offset Delivery Plan.
